Benaki Museum in Athens is currently showing a retrospective exhibition of Josef Koudelka's work (18/09/2008 - 23/11/2008, Benaki Museum, Pireos street).
Born in Moravia (former Czechoslovakia) Josef Koudelka became one of the highest regarded photojournalists of our time. His famous photographs of the Soviet invasion of Prague in 1968 (back then published under the initials P. P., standing for "Prague Photographer") are among the most recognizable photographic documents of the turbulent european history in the second half of the past century. Koudelka joined Magnum in 1971.
